9. Socotra Island – Yemen
Lying next to the Arabian sea, the island of Socotra is a dramatic landscape. You will also find many unique types of vegetation you won’t find elsewhere. One of the island’s native trees is the dracaena cinnabara as pictured. This umbrella-shaped tree has red colored sap, hence the common name of the Dragon’s Blood Tree.
