10. Lake Hillier – Western Australia
Separated by a strip of sand and the shoreline of the blue Pacific Ocean is the bubblegum pink Lake Hillier. The pinkness of the water is thought to be caused by a reaction between the salt, minerals, and carotenoid producing algae in the water. The lake is on Middle Island, which is just off the south-west coast of Australia.
