13. Cave of Crystals – Mexico
These huge beams of selenite or gypsum crystals are around 500,000 years old. Located 300 meters below the earth’s surface they are underneath a working mine that extracts, copper, silver gold and zinc. Unfortunately, there is limited access to these crystals in Naica, Chihuahua, Mexico due to the depth and heat.
