6. Chengdu Panda Base, Sichuan Province
Dedicated to saving endangered species, the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding covers an area of about 247 acres. The Base has successfully increased the population of the much loved giant panda since the late 1980s. They are also home to red pandas and other protected species native to China.
